As our Community Relations Manager, you'll play a key role in growing our vibrant retirement community while helping prospective residents find a place they can truly call home. You'll be the face of the residence in the community, leading marketing initiatives, developing referral partnerships, and guiding families through an important transition with confidence and compassion

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:

The Community Relations Manager works closely with the Regional Sales and Marketing Director to develop and execute marketing, sales, and community plans that support occupancy goals and enhance the residence's reputation within the community. You will act as a trusted resource for prospective residents and families, helping them understand the benefits of retirement living while ensuring a seamless experience from first inquiry through move-in.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Resident Focused

  • Coordinate pre-move-in assessments and onboarding activities.
  • Partner with internal teams to create smooth and welcoming resident transitions.
  • Support resident engagement initiatives, including the Resident Ambassador Program and move-in experience programs.
  • Maintain regular communication with residents, families, and team members

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Participate in operational planning and regional sales meetings.
  • Support employee recruitment, coaching, and performance management where applicable.
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to support organizational goals and resident satisfaction

Build Community Connections

  • Create and nurture relationships with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and referral sources.
  • Represent the residence at community events, networking functions, and public speaking engagements.

Drive Sales & Occupancy Growth

  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales and marketing plans.
  • Manage prospective resident relationships and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • Conduct tours and showcase the unique benefits of the residence.
  • Follow established sales processes to achieve monthly occupancy goals.
  • Identify new opportunities to increase awareness and generate leads.
  • Enhance the residence's visibility and reputation through outreach and marketing initiatives

Marketing & Business Development

  • Develop and manage marketing materials, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
  • Analyze market trends and monitor competitive activity.
  • Track sales performance and prepare reports that support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate sales and marketing data and occupancy data

 

BACKGROUND/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 12 diploma required.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in sales, marketing, business development, hospitality, healthcare, senior living, or a related industry is considered an asset.
  • 2 years of experience working with seniors in a similar setting.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
