  • MAIN DUTIES

    Welcome and Communications Ambassador

    • Receive and greet residents, visitors and members of the public in a friendly and professional manner
    • Receive and direct external calls
    • Delivery of resident notices and newspapers, etc.
    • Respond to resident inquiries, providing assistance using discretion and notifying appropriate departments as required
    • Some administrative duties may be required

    Safety and Security

    • Ensure the residence is safe and secure at all times by monitoring all security equipment and completing scheduled security rounds
    • Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner and provide assistance to emergency personnel if required
    • Ensure all arrival protocols are followed by all guests and contractors
    • Complete related incident reports and ensures the General Manager/Assistant General Manger/Office Manager are apprised of all situations
    • Follow all safety procedures when dealing with unknown or suspicious people
    • Follow all loss prevention and building safety policies
    • Assume responsibility for the residence in the absence of designated on-duty manager

    Cleaning and General Maintenance

    • Cleaning of public spaces and administration offices
    • Assist with ensuring interior and exterior lighting throughout the residence is functional at all times, including emergency lighting
    • Provide first line of support for snow and ice removal as required
    • Perform general maintenance and tasks as required
    • Complete and submit and maintenance requisitions for deficiencies
    • Set up and tear down for any meetings

    Laundry

    • Perform laundry duties as required, including both residence and residents' items as assigned

    • Demonstrated well-groomed appearance at all times

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum Grade 10 education with preference given for Grade 12
    • Experience in hospitality  and/or seniors' environment is preferred
    • Current CPR and First Aod Certificates are desirable
    • Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, email, etc.)
    • Experience in daily cleaning duties an asset

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Demonstrated ability to carry out significant amounts of bending, stooping and stretching, and lifting and carrying of equipment and supplies up to 35 lbs.
